Why I Started Building Again
There are moments in life when everything changes.
For me, that moment came when I had a stroke. From one day to the next, nothing could be taken for granted anymore. Things I used to do without thinking suddenly required time, energy, and patience.
During my recovery, I discovered something special. My curiosity about technology had not disappeared. On the contrary, solving problems step by step, building a server, or learning something new helped me regain my confidence.
That is how my homelab slowly began to take shape.
Not because I wanted to build the biggest or most advanced home server. And not to show off what I could do. I started building again because it helped me look ahead. Every small step felt like a victory.
This website is an extension of that journey.
Here, I share my experiences, the technical projects I work on, and the things I learn along the way. Sometimes everything works the first time. Sometimes it takes a lot of research and troubleshooting. But that process is exactly what I want to share.
Perhaps you recognise something of yourself in my story. Maybe you are recovering yourself, learning something new, or looking for a hobby that allows you to develop your skills. If so, I hope my experiences show you that even after a major change in life, you can find new challenges and new things to work towards.
My life changed because of a stroke, but my curiosity and passion for technology have remained.
And perhaps that is the most important reason why I started rebuilding my homelab during my recovery.
This is only the beginning. I would love to take you along as my journey continues.
